Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering & Availability

Why should I order a Grantley White Sample Door before buying a full kitchen set?

Photos on screens can vary significantly due to display settings, lighting, and photography angles. Ordering a Grantley White Sample Door allows you to see the actual finish, color, and surface texture in your home’s natural lighting alongside countertops, flooring, backsplash, and paint samples. This helps you confirm the white finish and recessed-panel design before purchasing matching cabinetry.

What size is the Grantley White Sample Door?

The Grantley White Sample Door measures 11 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches high. This Wolf Home Products sample allows you to examine its recessed center panel, Shaker-style profile, and white finish before purchasing full-size cabinets.

Are samples fully finished door samples or just small color swatches?

Our sample doors are actual finished door faces designed to represent the materials, construction, and finishing processes used for full-sized cabinet doors. They allow you to examine the door proportions, frame, center panel, and finish rather than relying on a small flat color swatch.

Materials & Quality Inspection

What should I look for when examining my door sample?

When inspecting your Grantley White Sample Door, pay attention to these details:

• Construction: Examine the door frame, recessed center panel, edges, and overall door assembly.
• Finish Quality: Observe the white finish, surface consistency, and finish along the door edges.
• Profile Detail: Inspect the recessed center panel and Grantley frame proportions to ensure the design matches your kitchen style.

Why does my painted sample door list HDF/MDF instead of 100% solid wood?

High-Density Fiberboard (HDF) and Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF) are engineered wood materials commonly used for painted cabinet doors because they provide a stable, smooth surface. Natural wood can expand and contract with humidity changes, potentially creating visible paint seams. The exact materials used in the Grantley White Sample Door should be confirmed against the manufacturer’s specifications.

Why does my stained sample door look slightly different from the photos online?

Stained wood doors can display natural variations in grain patterns, color, and texture. Grantley White features a white finish rather than a stained wood appearance. Lighting conditions, photography, and screen settings can affect how its white color appears online. Viewing the sample in your kitchen helps you evaluate its actual finish.

Shipping

How long does sample shipping take?

Sample doors typically ship within 2 to 5 business days. Standard ground shipping usually delivers within 3 to 7 business days depending on your location.

Is shipping for sample doors free?

Yes, shipping is free for sample doors.

• Test in different lighting: View the sample in morning sunlight, afternoon light, and under warm and cool artificial lighting. Notice how the white finish appears in each setting.
• Pair with materials: Compare the sample with countertops, flooring, backsplash tiles, wall paint, and cabinet hardware.
• Test the finish: Gently check how fingerprints wipe away and examine the surface texture from different angles.
